Hey, folks. With the arrival of the Fragments of Truth update, there are four operatives available on rerun banners, alongside the brand new Vidya - Celestial Swan. In this murder mystery-themed update, which banners are prime suspects for your pulls to go towards, and which are just red herrings? Let's investigate.
But first, a word from Vidya

Before we even get to the scene of the crime, our super-sleuth Vidya would like to pull us aside for a quick word. As a very strong, decently flexible support, she makes a very strong argument in favour of being your first choice when it comes to the gacha. It doesn't immediately rule out any of the other candidates, but it will mean that they'll have to work that much harder to earn their spot on your operative headhunting list.
Siris - Ksana and Fritia - Turbo

May 29 - July 10 (UTC+8)
Our first two contenders are Siris - Ksana and Fritia - Turbo. These two are available in a special rerun banner that runs for the entirety of the update. They share a rerun banner, and you can only pick one option from each of the operative and weapon gachas, meaning that you can't get both. This would normally make for a tough decision, but you can safely sidestep this issue altogether this time around, as neither are particularly standout choices.
Siris - Ksana used to be one of the top DPS picks in the game, but this was many months ago, and times have changed. Her rotation is now considered far too slow to be competitive, and she's therefore unfortunately not a recommended pull. Meanwhile, Fritia - Turbo was never particularly outstanding to begin with, with essentially all of her gameplay issues still remaining unfixed to this day. You'd think Seasun would give either of these two some buffs or quality of life improvements to try and sell them better, but they seem more interested in milking them by selling outfits instead - Siris has two outfits rerunning in the shop, and Fritia has two outfit + weapon skin combos (one new, one old) available for purchase as well.
It is worth noting that both of these operatives allow for pretty comfy gameplay in general content, but you can also say the same for just about all DPS operatives released these days. At any rate, this elevates their worth to a luxury pickup at best, especially when you consider what's on offer in the other set of reruns happening this patch.
Chenxing - Jade Arc and Yao - Nightglow

June 19 - July 10 (UTC+8)
Our "second half" rerun features the stars of the half-anniversary patch, Chenxing - Jade Arc and Yao - Nightglow. Interestingly enough, it seems that you can freely choose between which of the two you want to pull for, with no restriction like with Siris and Fritia. But just because you can get both, should you?
Chenxing - Jade Arc still holds up very well as a top-shelf DPS threat capable of bursting for absurd amounts of damage and skipping invuln triggers, one-shotting many bosses outright before they even get to do anything. Her standard skill is also effortless waveclear, further rubbing salt in the wound of this patch's other rerun duo. If you get one DPS this patch from the three on offer, it should be this one.
Yao - Nightglow, on the other hand, presents a bit of a dilemma. Is she good? Yes, very. She's still Chenxing - Jade Arc's best friend for making number go up, and pairs well with every ballistic DPS in the game, really. She would be a slam-dunk recommendation... except for the fact that Vidya - Celestial Swan exists.
Go back in time to September 2024 and tell someone that Vidya would be a serious contender as a pickup against one of the best ballistic supports in the game, and they would think you're crazy. But that's the world we live in. Ideally, you'd get both of these two, as there really isn't anything inherently wrong with Yao or her performance. They actually work really nicely together in a team supporting Chenxing. But between the two, Vidya provides more universal utility, being usable with Skill DPS operatives as well. While there is the notable caveat that her performance decreases when used in a team with multiple types of elemental damage, she remains a strong option in your toolbox even when not slotted into one of the multiple mono-element team comps that are used these days. You really can't go wrong with either, though, so the choice is ultimately yours: Yao provides better specialization within her niche as a Ballistic support, while Vidya is a better all-around generalist.
