NEW HENTIRO - Yggdrasil Enterprises’ latest threat to their combat power isn’t a new supervillain in the shadows, but perhaps a disgruntled weapons supplier. An unnamed blacksmith and arrow craftsman, whose identity has been obscured for their safety, has spoken out about what they consider to be “irresponsible” use of their hard work. snowbreak.gg's reporter vicyush had the chance to sit down with them and get their side of the story.
V: I can imagine that making all of these arrows is a lot of hard work.
AC: You have no idea. I wake up at five in the morning every day to chop wood for the forge, and then after that it’s countless long hours in a hot workshop where I pour my blood, sweat, and tears into making each individual arrow. And for what? For some Heimdall hotshot to just fling them out 72 at a time, not even caring if they hit an enemy?
V: But it must be a very profitable venture at least, if Yggdrasil is using up that many arrows.
AC: The money doesn’t matter to me, especially with a client as frustrating as those Heimdall Force people. I remember last year when they first started buying arrows from me for that blue woman, they initially said that they wanted special arrows that split into three after you fired them. So I came up with a breakthrough new design that can do that - do you know how hard it is to make arrows that cleanly split up like that? - and you know what they say to me? It’s never “thank you, that’s very innovative,” instead they say that they don’t want it anymore and that they want the arrows to explode instead! So I said no more, and that Katya fellow had to start using a gun. They never know how good they have it until it’s gone, I tell you.
V: Well at the very least, it must feel good knowing that the fruits of your labours are used to save humanity.
AC: You’re right of course, but I think the wasteful way that they fight is just disrespectful to the hard work of skilled tradespeople like me. Maybe they should try actually aiming carefully for once. And maybe rinse off the arrows they do return to be repaired. I don't even want to know where those things have been.
