Fenny – Starshine Character Preview

Starshine is a Kinetic exosuit developed with the help of GANGES, the supercomputer of New Hentiro, according to Yggdrasil's design. Fenny insisted that it be equipped with an interchangeable color design.

Standard Ability: Path of Starlight

Fenny dashes in a direction and gains a Crystal Magazine with bonus ammo of varying effects based on the direction travelled (bonus ammo does not change the element damage dealt by the equipped weapon):

  • Dashing sideways will grant bonus ammo that deals increased Kinetic damage
  • Dashing forward will grant bonus ammo that fires more slowly, but deals increased AoE damage that cannot crit
  • Dashing backward will grant bonus ammo that restores S-Energy on hit.

This ability can be cast even if Fenny does not have enough S-Energy, though the amount of bullets granted will be reduced.

Neuronic 1: This skill no longer has a cooldown.
Neuronic 2: Increase the amount of bullets granted by this skill.

Crystal Magazine ammo:

  • Is considered to be "normal" ammo and is not affected by Aptitude buffs
  • Will be consumed before the existing ammo in the weapon's magazine
  • Is still considered as normal shooting when being consumed
  • Cannot be replenished by other means, and does not stack with other special magazine effects

Support Ability: Inspirational Voice

It seems that casting this won't affect the active operative's actions, which is actually pretty neat

Fenny provides the active operative with a Pyroxene Magazine, granting bonus ammo. The amount of ammo provided is based on the ammo capacity of the active operative's weapon, as well as that of Fenny's. For crossbows, a fixed amount of bonus ammo will be granted based on the selected fire mode. When the active operative fires bonus ammo, they gain an attack buff.

Neuronic 1: When a party member without Pyroxene Magazine critically hits or hits an enemy weak spot, the cooldown of this skill decreases, with a cooldown on how often this can occur.
Neuronic 2: Increase the maximum number of charges of this skill that can be stored.

Pyroxene Magazine ammo:

  • Is considered to be "normal" ammo and is not affected by Aptitude buffs
  • Does not change the normal weapon magazine's ammo count
  • Cannot be consumed by abilities, only shooting
  • Will be consumed before the existing ammo in the weapon's magazine
  • Is still considered as normal shooting when being consumed
  • Cannot be replenished by other means, and does not stack with other special magazine effects

Ultimate Ability: Destined Protagonist

Fenny fires a continuous attack over a period of time, continuously dealing kinetic damage to enemies hit. Fenny also gains damage reduction while casting this ability.

Neuronic 1: Using this skill restores S-Energy.
Neuronic 2: The damage dealt by this skill gains the benefits of ballistic damage buffs (but specifically not ADS/hipfire ballistic damage buffs).

Deiwos Passive: Team Spirit

When equipped with a kinetic weapon, increase ballistic damage dealt by all party members. This boost scales with Alignment Index.
